Oh dear how much more ridiculous can these racist accusations get?

Surely there is nothing wrong in featuring a mega star such as Brad Pitt on the poster of a film in which he stars in, regardless of the fact that he appears less in the film than a black actor?

In defence of the Italians, I would say that perhaps they are not so PC aware as we and the Americans seem to be.

Nothing to do with PC or racism. The Star is an unknown and his face is unlikely to sell the film. It was Nothing to apologise for. If he becomes famous, then I am sure he will feature prominantly on future posters.

/// I agree AOG is being daft. No mention of Brad here ///

If you had cared to look at the cast list you would have not failed to notice that there is.

Such a star that he's listed after 'slave spiritual singer no. 2'...
Easy does it

Aog isn't too smart with IMDB

He has been known to try and use User List Compilations as authoritive references!
"Its all about being proud of your race/ethnicity."

as long as youre not white it seems ok

/// I don't think anyone should be proud to be black or proud to be
white. ///

And why not, I am certainly proud to be white, and proud of my culture also.

And although I can't possibly speak on their behalf, I am sure the vast majority of Black people are also proud of being black and proud of their culture.
Tut tut AOG - you must know that is someone's personal opinion list - are you playing deliberately obtuse to fan the flames more?
Ta-daaaa!

Aog does it again-as predicted - priceless

And who prey is 'florian-preuss' aog?

And what are his credentials and his criteria for the list?

PMSL
Thanks AOG,

Happy new year to you too.
if your actors are good enough, put them on the poster even if nobody's ever heard of them

ZEUHL, does it not make you wonder why on earth the BBC chose Claudia Winkleman to front Film rather than Anotheoldgit?
Indeed it does Corbs

What a choice!

A silly old tart who prattles illogical nonsense all the time about things she knows nothing....

Or Claudia Winkelman.
now now, lads, kindly start the new year as courteously as you hope to go on.
It says a lot that Brad Pitt's agent didn't get him higher on the cast list ( was Brad Pitt listed high on the credits to the film itself; agents are very demanding in contracted credits?), and that the character is such that imdb haven't got a character biography.

It is misleading advertising, with a view to profit. But I can see how some black people might take it as a slur, that the poster pictures only a big, white, star in a minor role when the film is carried by a black character. By all means splash Pitt's name all over the poster, with the lead's, but don't pretend the film is plotted around this white actor.

I think that it is just that Brad Pitt is more instantly recognised than Chiwetel Ejiofor, nothing more, nothing less,

I am sure if the leading actor had been a black actor more recognisable such as Denzel Washington for example, his face would have been on the posters.
