You were spot on about the (almost daily) rain in Mauritius. They are having the effects at the moment of the cyclone which is in Madagascar region. Sorry to hear that has caused loss of life. Even with the grey sky and the wind I sat on the lounger yesterday at the edge of the water. I am British! Just arrived back home to a similar grey and wet day but without the heat.......

Growing up playing on the beach in a howling gale on a cold Tuesday in July gives you the robustness to survive the warm rain in Mauritius. One thing that has always baffled me though, why do people get out of the pool when it starts raining???

Ha ha Eccles. The island is beautiful - pink and orange flowers everywhere and brightly coloured birds. Sitting on plane last night we baked for about 30-40 minutes until they started up the engines. Have a good day.
