Yet again Strasbourg holds us up to be scoffed at by our contemporaries and ridiculed by extremist groups.

Sorry missed your post, but my feelings on this matter remain the same, and judging by your post you have no time for this idiotic ruling also.

Another ruling by the floppy left wing liberals of the EUHR and we have to go along with it. Cameron should get his teeth into problems like this rather than buying a luxury boat for the Queen.
What about my Human Right to not have to share my nation with this extremist looney? The ECHR, as usual, deny the masses in favour of our enemies. why do we bother with it at all? They usually find against us anyway.
Cameron unfortunagtely is weak and does not listen to the people. Clegg, when enough said.

We need to abandon all things Europe. We are not European and never will be. The Europeans dont even think of us as European

Apologies Lord_Elpus, didn't notice you'd already started a thread on this story.

"but rojash seems to be happy with it"

What you mean is that while you condone torture (so are no different from, say, the Taliban), I don't.

Yes, if you bothered to read the article you would know that the problem is not that they would torture him, but that it's reasonable to assume that the testimony used against him would have been obtained under torture. Jordan routinely uses torture as a means of extracting "evidence".

Fingers crossed we might be able to hand him over to the Yanks, as he's wanted there as well as Algeria, Belgium, Spain, France, Germany and Italy.

But I'm sure the US is where he'd get the warmest reception.
/// Jordan routinely uses torture as a means of extracting "evidence". ///

Torture can be either physical or psychological.

How do we know what psychological torture Western nations use in their quest to get at the truth?

Sleep deprivation can be just one.
Torture is such a bad thing. Instead we let him roam our country plotting to kill or maim innocent civilians and to top it all pay him benefits or compensation while he sits and ponders who will be his next victims.
Clegg won't allow Cameron to change/repeal the HR laws.
