I don't really know what this is but I had a very important message sent my RCS to my phone a few days ago and it has disappeared.

Would it be lurking on my phone somewhere or do they self-destruct?

Chats?  What chats?  It's not in Messages if that's what you mean.  I have never used Google Chats, I don't have it on my phone.

It's worrying because it's an important message that needs a reply but I can't find it and don't have any contact info of the sender
