Many thanks

Do you have a link? Is it the one currently on BBC2? How far into the programme was it?
Question Author
Yes it's the one on bbc2
It's been on the programme before though
It's a haunting piece and I know I have heard it before probably by Placido but this time it sounded like an old recording
Which episode and whereabouts please Ric?

Yes calibax that is the music

Ric, It's an old recording as you say. It sounds like it might be Caruso. I'm pretty sure it's a tenor though. Certainly not a Castrato.

At about 6:47 he sings "Che Faro Senza Eurydice" from Gluck's "Orfeo y Eurydice".

One of my faves :o)
Soundhound tells me it is this.
