I think they need to take you to court to enforce this, as they are a private company, running the car park! they are unlikely to do so! it costs them as much as they are charging you, I ignored two letters, which looked very official, but really were not! and didn't hear another word! you are tempted to pay, as the first notice tells you that if you don't pay straight...

Like in the family or disabled bays when you are neither? No.

Yes, but not a clearly designated one

why was it not clearly designated?

Eddie that's naughty, I use a family bay if i have my grandchild with me and it is amazing how mant people totally don't get that they will get a parking ticket if they use the wrong bays. The retail park where i work is owned by the local authority and the parking wardens walk round checking the bays, more and more supermarkets are using the private parking warden firms now as a source of revenue.

yes......got fine reduced as bought washing machine (produced proof receipt).
I suppose EDDIE51 has a disabled badge as well so that he can park on disabled bays, I am disabled and I get do annoyed at how many young healthy people abuse these bays, I have told people on more than one occassion that the disabled bays are for Physically disabled, NOT MENTALLY disabled which they appear to be when they park on these bays. I always say that there are people a lot worse than me even though I am riddled with arthritis, have copd and take morphine for the pain, it is surprising how many times that people who can hardly walk have to park a long way from the doors because somebody has parked on a disabled bay, or a mother with 3 or 4 kids have to walk a long distance because people like EDDIE51 has purchased a £5 car seat from ebay
Is there something wrong with your legs eddie or is your girth that sufficient that you have to have your doors wide open to get in and out of your car?
I wish they would fine the myopic car drivers at my tesco that cannot see the 8 foot square sign that says "motorcycles only bay" Every time I go with my bike I cannot use it !
Toureman just do what they do at the Tesco I live near - ride your bike right up to the entrance. I once found a E-type Jag parked right up to the entrance (not even on the car park). People are always parking in the wrong places! I always drive to the far end so that at least I won't get my car smashed to pieces due to other drivers opening their car doors into mine. The parking bay for bikes at my local Tesco is on the pathway though so cars can't actually park on it. Maybe they should do that with your local Tesco Toureman!
EDDIE - I hope you're joking! :(
I am with you there dizmouk I also park my bike on the path near the entrance, if I go in the car I park as you do, I get well away from the lazy idiots who don't care for their cars or anyone else's.
I have seen aTesco employee jotting down number plates. I think it was because some people park their car there and go off shopping somewhere else and the car remains for a long period.

Thanks for all your views - just wont shop in any Tesco shop EVER again - not that they care!!!!
I've never understood that line of thinking. You parked in the wrong place and most of the Tescos I've ever been to have their bays very clearly marked out and yet its their fault and you won't shop there or in any of their other stores ever again.
Oh good, one less to fight for the limited parking ;)
You'll be back Mary
dizmouk and toureman, do you find that even if you park your cars 200 yards from anyone else, when you return some *^%&*($** has parked 6 inches from your drivers door? Always happens to me!
