So, which is better, the Mini or the Citroen DS3? Well, there's only one way to find out. Try the answerbank. What is the build quality like on these two cars, have you had any problems? Most importantly, has the dealer back-up been to your satisfaction if there have been problems?

Also, what do you most like about your Mini or DS3...and what are your biggest gripes?

I have a Mini Cooper S cabriolet....hands down, it's the best and funnest car I have ever owned. I have had a Renault Clio, Rav4, MR2, Merc SLK, BMW 325 and honestly, I love, love, love my little Coopy! lol I haven't had any probs with it, the dealer and after-care was and still is fantastic. I have never owned a Citroen so can't speak for their after-care.

There are much better places to find out than the amateurs on answerbank!

Why not ask the professionals here............

Thanks for that Toureman. I like to get feedback from "Joe Public" as well as the motoring journals, hence my question.
the best thing about the Mini is depreciation - its still worth loads after many years (so far) Citroen - personally wouldn't have one as its French!
I have not owned either,
just my view so can't say about quality/ servicing etc.
If i could stretch £££ to a Mini then i would try one.
Mmm. BMW or Citroën? Let me think......
Citroen build quality really isnt the best..
...and neither is their dealer service.
My B-i-L had a Citroen Xantia. Lovely comfortable car but OMG did it go wrong a lot. And OMFG did it cost a lot to fix when it went wrong.

Have heard lots of horror stories about many cars of French origin. Either they break easily or they break often. Or both. Shame, as they all look great.

I had a Cooper which I loved. It was great fun to drive but I had an absolute nightmare with the run flat tyres. The alloys started to corrode which caused the tyres to puncture.I had 7 in 2 years at a cost of £155 each...BMW never would admit it was a fault even though the tyre specialist told them what the problem was.I have since spoken to a lot of people who have had the exact same thing happen. Never had a Citroen so can't advise there.

Thanks to all for your comments. Mini it is then, preferably without run-flat wheels/tyres.
