Glee

Glee is one of the most delightful TV series of recent years. The show is about the ups and downs of a high school glee club, or show choir. The music is superb with hits from top acts like The Beatles, Lady GaGa, Journey and a whole episode devoted to Madonna.

The show has been a big hit both in the USA and UK and fans of the show have their own nickname “Gleeks”.  The characters are easy to empathise with even the ‘bad’ ones like Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) and the plot, although a tad generic at times, keeps you interested.

However, it is the music and the huge talent that is the big attraction, each number is extremely well choreographed and is set perfectly into the storyline. There is none of the characters tediously bursting into song spontaneously in the corridors which often happens in musical shows.

Some of the timeless Broadway classics and some great pop and classic rock tunes are being introduced to a very young audience. The diverse cast all have a tremendous amount of talent the main characters being Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison), Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith), Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), Quinn Fabray (Dianna Agron), Mercedes Jones (Amber Riley) and Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer).
