Anyone know when the new series is starting? Its not a remake, its about the lives of a new family and staff 6 years after the 1st world war. Thanks.

According to the Radio Times it's to start "in the Autumn of 2010". Doesn't exactly narrow things down does it? It's to be 2 x 90 minutes programmes. Sorry chinadog, I haven't really helped have I? It's being talked about quite a bit so I assume it's SOON. The downstairs entrance hall looks to be a slightly different layout in one of the photos I saw.

Thanks janbee and tony. The theme tune is'nt bad tony thanks for that. I thought the Beeb would have advertised on tv by now. Seems a lot of people are looking forward to the new series!

Morning china, maybe you already know this, but Upstairs Downstairs will be shown over Christmas. It was due to be shown in Autumn and Downton Abbey due for next year. ITV changed their minds and released DA first so UD had to be put on hold. I think that DA may have stolen some of UD's thunder.
