ah ha, glad im not the only one asking this question.!!
The wrong kind of sunlight on the line.
At a guess it could be something to do with holocaust day?
I had it set to record the whole series. It recorded eggheads instead.
I can't confirm the truth of this but...

//It was due to the murderer of Milly Dowler confessing to the crime today. Milly got off the train at Walton on Thames station and was last seen alive close by.//
I wondered too. Where did that come from, Mamyalynne?

In tonights show he was due to visit a crematorium. With it being Holocaust day perhaps that's why it was cancelled .That's what has been suggested on the Points of View site .
I doubt it has anything to do with Levi Bellfield. The area where he murdered Marsha McDonnall is covered in tomorrow`s episode but that is still scheduled to be shown.
The Facebook queries must be wrong then, tonight's synopsis...

//Woking to Walton-on-Thames
Great British Railway Journeys, Series 7

Michael Portillo's journey through the home counties continues at Woking, Surrey, where Michael uncovers the story of Britain's first purpose-built crematorium, a response to overcrowded cemeteries and London's ever-expanding population. A trip to world-famous Wisley Gardens sheds light on the work of the Royal Horticultural Society, as Michael gets green fingered.//

Milly Dowler

Disappearance[edit]
At 3:00 pm on 21 March 2002, Dowler left Heathside School to go home on the train. She got off at Walton-on-Thames railway station, one stop before her usual stop of Hersham

There'll be a valid reason I'm sure.
They`re just peoples` opinions on Facebook. I don`t really see what any of that has to do with why the programme was cancelled.
No.
I said that earlier Tony - heigh ho.
Maybe the BBC didn't like Michael's jacket in tonight's episode.
Ahhh.
Ah right, so you did Mamya. Sorry about that.
Levi Bellfield murdered Marsha McDonnell when she got off the 111 bus from Kingston (blimey, the times I have done that!). That is pretty near Hampton Court where tomorrow night`s episode is concerned with. Maybe that episode will be cancelled - if it is then maybe it will be due to his confession but I doubt it.
My fault really, when I said " I can't confirm the truth of this but.." I meant that this was the reason why , I knew the confession was true.
