I've just watched this on ITV - and the question was name the ten 4 letter words that can be made from the word "dribble" - a little bored, I wrote down the answers and found 12! However when they gave the answers Bled and Bred did not appear in the list - and when the contestant said Lied - the compere said wow that was lucky - it's actually pronounced Lied and is a German song! - is it me or am I missing something?
There was a similar one the other day when the word was WINTER. I thought they had left out "went" but the condition was the words had to have their own entry and "went" is shown under "go". "Bled" and "bred" come under "bleed" and "breed" respectively. The German "lied" is pronounced "leet".

Thanks for that - I was not paying much attention - my 3 past participles all disallowed! I guessed I must have missed something - thanks for putting me straight!
// it's actually pronounced Lied and is a German song! //
it is! singing the "Horst Wessel Lied" in Germany can get you into trouble - it's the one that starts
"Die Fahne hoch! Die Reihen fest geschlossen!"
and was the anthem of the nazi party from 1930. Amazon got into trouble for offering it for sale on their website.....
