Not much craic at all now, Bobbi. Years ago you could start a thread and have a lot of wandering banter. A few may not have liked it but that was CB and innocent enough and the few could be ignored. You'd post something you'd done/seen/been to and others would join in with their experiences. It was good, lighthearted fun. Then with the demise of SAB we had an influx...

I've finally got Mr. J2 properly appreciative of my presence! We went to Scarborough today (about 10 miles) and he took me to lunch and bought me perfume! I thought it was because it was my birthday coming up on Friday (turns out that the perfume was because of that) but there was more to it.

He choked on a piece of bacon yesterday evening - and I mean choked. Couldn't breath. Heart in mouth I bashed his back, didn't work. In desperation I tried the Heimlich manoeuvre! That did it! I feel quite pleased with myself because I'd never actually done it before.

He told me today that I'd saved his life. Well, I suppose I did.
Q. How many bottles of my favourite perfume can I ask for? Can I cup the brand? So many questions.....

Don't know if it's funny or sad or daft - but at least it's not about the horrible things happening in the world. :)

As one of the originals on AB it has changed. We never used to have Chatterbank and nonsense was done on Body and Soul.

I had 15 years away and you get your answer banned for making one comment that doesn't even raise an eyebrow and complete idiots who like to dominate and be king bee.

I had a sore pinkie on Monday and it felt like my tendon was a bit tender. I found an old tube of pain relief cream, put on too much, spent ages trying to rub it in before going to bed and ended up wiping most of it off. I put on some more a few hours later as I was watching tv.

It was sore still in the morning and I was about to put it on again when I seen the "pain relief" was actually for haemorrhoids...

Bobster it was more "lighthearted" as you hint at. The beauty of Whiffey, Bob the Turkey (he is still here I think), the sarcasm of Dot Hawkes, the annoyance of The Russian, the intelligence of noxylomous etc etc.
