I don't understand your use of the singular!

Question Author
I didn't need to know that, thank you Chris !!

( I thought we'd be all out before stumps last night ...not bothering to watch )
Buenchico "a drink" ???

Well Chris in my neck of the woods 'A drink' never means the singular.
ie, 'are you coming out for a drink' never ever means are you coming out for a singular drink.
Good point, Tony.

Back in my college days, we used to simply say "QH?" (= 'quick half') when suggesting a visit to the pub after the end of lectures. We never managed to leave the pub before closing time ;-)
Yep, it would appear that no matter where you live ( come from ) a drink never means the singular, Chris.
