Sounds good. I haven't checked the facts but as I see it this is the situation: - The Met Office (funded by the taxpayer) provides weather forecasts. - The BBC (funded essentially by taxpayers albeit in a slightly different way) needs weather forecasts. - The Met Office loses the "contract" to provide forecasts to the BBC - The Met Office continues to be funded...

Wouldn't bet on it though, B00. Can't beat a weather cone hanging outside the back door imo.

Hurricane! . . . . what Hurricane?
GOF.......
Does that mean that all the weather girls will get changed ?
I like waking up to Carol in the morning.

Some of the Girls are Freelancers but Carole does work for the Met. Office.

- The BBC continues to be funded by the taxpayer ( and continues to require weather forecasts)

- The BBC has to pay somebody elese for the weather forecasts they require.

As I said, sounds good. :-)

Mmmmm, do you think that the beeb may ask for a raise in licence fee's NJ ?.
Also a fan of Carol Kirkwood. If we lose her, might actually look at the maps and remember something. Joking aside, this is appaling, the whole damn country will be run on a shoestring eventually.
They don't need to employ or hire a weather company, they could just look on the internet, and do we really need to be told the weather forecast every 15/30 minutes?
I don't thi nk they are very good at it, Accu are better
Given up on forecasts. The reports on what the weather was like are not even accurate.
Adding one more to the list of New Judge, the "someone elses" will probably purchase their weather forecasts from the Met Office.
