Seriously, who commissioned this canned-laughter drivel? It seems they lurch from one disaster to another when it comes to sit coms. I thought they might have learned their lesson after the Citizen Khan (I had hopes for that one which proved unfounded) disaster but it seems someone wants to dig deeper into the depths of cringe worthy offerings.

Knowing it's written by Ben Elton makes it doubly perplexing, from the man who gave us such brilliance as The Young Ones and Blackadder.

Does anyone actually watch it?

I watched it the first week it was on and pretty much came to the same conclusion as you did, in fact here is that particular thread:- http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Media-and-TV/TV/Question1236734.html

When Ben elton started out his alternative comedy was fresh and exciting. It was a slap in the face for all those stereotypical comedians of the 70's and 80's.

He's now become one of them.
