The Lollipop sketch was just so ridiculous I nearly switched off in disgust and I've always loved Corrie, it's the only soap I've ever followed to any extent - as a 'guilty pleasure'. Pathetic script writing.

Yes it was daft but I did laugh when I saw the "Kirkys Turkys" sign...and during the march of the lollipops when Beth said "It must be gay pride or sommat"

I totally disagree that it was pathetic M-T. This small storyline had been building up for a while, with the old retiring lollipop man telling Dennis he would get him his job back.

It was endearing and typical of Corr[ie] giving us a chuckle now and then.

I loved "Kirkys Turkys" too.

It was totally silly in my opinion - not the usual good Corrie humour at all.
But agree with Robi about Kirky's Turkeys. I just love Kirky. As much as I like Steve his facial expressions on this occasion were way over the top and the old lolly pop man is just embarrassing. Quite honestly I find the headteacher guy a very silly character too. Love Jason and Stella though - well why not!! ;o)
