We just watched it, on the outset, I said "this one guy I really dont like" due to his boozing, beating his wife and drugs etc, When it finished I had a totally different view.

A great guy that has been to hell and back many times. he now has my respect.

who, Gazza or Piers?
Question Author
Would you believe me if I said Piers?

I think Gazza was more loved than Rooney.
Gazza is one of the nicest, kindest people you could meet, that's from Personal experience.
I recorded this, and am really looking forward to watching it. He's had his troubles, but I think his hearts in the right place. It's got to be better than last weeks... Rolph Harris. Couldn't get into that at all.

I have to honestly say that I never liked him before. However, my mind was changed seeing this interview and I really hope he can stay sober now and get back to a normal life. He certainly is trying his best! Glad he had the chance to do this interview.
I thought Rolph Harris was quite inspirational - at his age (83 I think) his mind is crystal clear and as sharp as ever, and singing at Glastonbury just afew years ago - I found that incredible. I hope my mind is that sharp and I am still working when I'm 83.

Gazza - just seemed sad - I hope he makes it and keeps off the booze - seems a lovely bloke - just sad - must have caused his family an awful lot of stress and worry.
Gazza was more loved than Wayne Rooney. He had much more personality than Rooney. The public loved him, bit like George Best. Everyone loved George Best too - the crowds turned out when he died and they were in tears.
When Rolph Harris came on stage at Glastonbury the crowd started shouting 'wife beater'
Gazza is much more likeable now, it seems the world loves a loser who tries to make it back, al la George Best and to some degree Alex Higgins. Rooney is not in that class, although I hate to say that he is good at footie.
Rolf
Rooney is nothing like Gazza. Nothing at all.

I remember the whole Raoul Moat thing, when Gazza turned up with chicken and fishing rods. It was really sad. He was clearly an ill man.
Football wise he was...
Ralph?
Have I missed something? Why wife beater?
wife beater - was he (Rolf) I mean ? - they didn't mention that on Piers Morgan show
I cant believe ralph being a wife beater. Any links to that story ?
wouldn't have thought so - his wife and daughter were in the audience - talking very highly of him
I could never feel sorry for a wife beater (Gaza). Of course he came over well on this show, he was probably on his best behaviour. I didn't watch it, I'm just going by what others on here are saying.
