If the Immigrants are illegal, they would have got into this Country by many and varied devious ways, none of which involve the French Boarder, so how could he be expected to fingerprint them?

Maybe they have several gates- UK citizens, EU citizens, non-EU and Illegals.
have you got a link please redvanman so I can see how this works. Do they not have to go through Passport Control here?

redvanman, If immigrants are illegal there can never be any way of knowing how many are in the country as there will be no records of them. Your post makes no sense . As I said in your other post if they are illegal they can not claim any benefits at all.

factor......I may be incorrect here, but it is my understanding that even if illegal immigrants are picked up by Border Passport Control, they are let into the UK and told to report back to the authorities to have their case heard.
They then disappear, never to be seen again..............so i gather.

From watching some of the Border Control programmes they seem to find a load (mainly places like restaurants) on a raid, let them go and tell them to report in and then, surprise surprise, most of them are never seen again by the authorities!

Sqad, if they go to border control and the papers are not in order they are sent back to where they came from. Illegal immigrants do not go through border control, they stow away the the back of lorries or get dropped off late at night on a remote beach from a small boat, or whatever way they have found to get in.
A lot come in on valid visas and then fail to go home when the visa expires.

It was not the ' French boarder' it was the UK Border Agency working in France who stopped taking photos and fingerprints as there was no facility to process them.
Your posts would get more sympathy if you got your facts right and learned to spell the word ' Immigrants'
