Hi. Every morning around 5.30am my Sky plus box in my bedroom kicks into life and starts 'whirring'. It makes quite a noise and if I'm awake at the time It stops me from going back to sleep.

I'm guessing it's running neccessary updates each time. Does anyone know if there Is any way I can set the box so that it does this at a different time of the day?

I suspect that you have Sky Anytime enabled and the 'whirring' is programmes being recorded onto the harddrive. There is no user control for when the recordings will occur. If you do not use Anytime you can disable it.

I suspect you may be righ ABerrant. I forgot that a few weeks ago we had a new box fitted. Anytime was disabled on the old box but just checked and the new one has Anytime enabled. I have disabled it so hopefully I can get a good nights sleep. Thanks!!
Think of all the quality programming you will be missing such as kids progs and stuff on sky arts!
