At this time of the morning things can seem much worse than they really are, especially at Christmas when we are supposed to be happy. We all feel down and at a loss as to what to do at times. Your job and money situation may be rubbish at the moment but you are safe, with a comfortable home and good friends and family. Slap a smile on your face, join in and help those...

You left Hb of your own accord and walked away from some days at the care home, so maybe that's taken into account in declining UC

I think Abbey needs to let UC or jobcentre advisors know of her many issues.  A visit to doctor is very necessary to discuss these issues.

You can also self diagnose as autistic if you feel strongly that you have many traits.

This would all build a better picture for Abbey to get the correct help or support.

Abbey- if you don't open up completely and tell truth to someone about your struggles or many issues, you may be in this same position 10 years from now at age 41.

It's interesting that there may be an entitlement to UC.  I assumed it was for real hardship and not to help cover the sort of expenses abbey spends her money on

Kara how do I say oh all to dr?

" say oh all "

did you mean to type that abbey?

Abbey, please research autism in adult females and look at sites such as NHS etc. Make notes on anything that you feel that you can identify with. Write down all the areas of your life that you struggle with - making decisions, repeating yourself over and over, not listening well to others, finding instructions hard, finding social interactions/ situations difficult, people telling you that you are vulnerable and easily manipulated by others ....and so  on.

Go to the doctor!!!!

Talk to him!!

Good post .

And maybe ask your Mum to go with you to help in case you struggle to express yourself clearly there like you do here

If you are working 20 hours a week at minimum wage then you wouldn't be eligible for Universal Credit, if you have no children or housing costs.  Look up www.entitledto.co.uk  and enter your circumstances, it will tell you whether you would be eligible to claim any benefits.

Easily manipulated by others?

You accept lifts that you uncomfortable with. You have friend who expects you to go to hers so you can get taxi together which saves HER money. You find it hard to say no to people or no to events you don't want to do, but sometimes feel forced to.

If Abbey was unemployed, she could get a maximum amount of (If you’re single and 25 or over) £368.74 per month.

..on UC

Abbey's period of working only 9 hours a week didn't last very long. She  took on a second job, of 24 hours (I think), but left that one after a few days. She then took on another job, 21 hours a week.

Question Author

I didn't go to hers after and made excuses twice this week.

Abbey, do not question whether how you feel is normal.  How you feel is normal for you and dont let anyone tell you any different.

You are thinking about your life and feeling a bit fed up with it.

In reality nothing much is possible between now and after Christmas because everywhere shuts down. Take the time to think what you want and what you can do to achieve that.

Happy Christmas x

Barmaid, I think what is concerning many ABers is that this is the fourth time Abbey has posted the same thoughts and worries. Previous posts mentioned anti-depressants and many ABers offered lots of  useful advice, information and support. Christmas is maybe dragging Abbey down a bit, but the 'problem' has been around for a considerable time.

Again, did you see your GP, Abbey?

Question Author

No as Dr's is closed till 27th

Abbey, you've mentioned this problem, these feelings, for months. I think people advised you in June to see your doctor - and did so again when you had similar posts later.
