Need advice on buying a laptop, one with plenty of RAM, storage and battery life. I've been using an ACER V3-531 for about 8 years, its very good, so I wouldn't mind buying a similar ACER, upgrade, if you see what I mean.
I'm not technically minded at all, plug in and play is what I am, I need advice from the techys out there please.
Thanks for any help.

If we're going down the refurbished route though, as suggested by JimF, this offers 16GB https://accomputerwarehouse.com/product/hp-zbook-15-g2-i7-4810m-16gb-ram-240gb-m-2-sata-ssd-15-6/ (That's from my favourite supplier, which I can thoroughly recommend).

Budget?
Question Author
Slack, I'm not too sure really, maybe about £500, depends what bargains there are out there, seen some priced at £2000 and £3000, which is way out of my range.

I will be installing VirtualDJ Pro and will have a lot of music stored on it.
Question Author
I probably will NOT use it for internet, just playing music.
The one Chico recommends is basically quite good but I`d suggest a bit more RAM as 8 is bare minimum these days and if you are planning on doing music 256ssd may be a little on the small side.

I'd agree but, with a budget of around £500, it's going to be hard to find a model with 16GB.

Buenchico, thanks for the help, how can I find out if the battery is ok and how to replace it if its not?
AC Computer Warehouse's policy is to ensure that their reconditioned laptops are always sent out with a working battery but, as they (rightly) regard it as an expendable part, they don't offer any guarantees on it.

For that reason, I'd always add in the cost of a new battery when considering the purchase of a reconditioned laptop (whether from ACCW or from anywhere else). They're easily available on eBay, as here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223201847135

Replacing a battery in a laptop should never take more than a few quick clicks. (After all, some people like to carry a charged spare battery or two with them when they're in remote locations, so changing a battery should never be a task that involves undoing screws, etc). In the case of the model I've suggested, you simply turn the laptop upside down, release the catches on the door at the back to remove it, lift the old battery out, slot the new one in and replace the door. (See page 54 here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04533763 ).
Personally, I can recommend the ASUS TUF version of the laptop because the model is not very expensive and you can find an inexpensive option with a lot of RAM and a lot of cores in the processor. Although I will warn you in advance that the model is based on an amd processor and a video card. This is even more of a plus than a minus, because AMD is often much faster and better than nvidia and intel. If you have a certain budget for which it is better not to go out, then try looking for a laptop through the service https://gadgetguide.in , perhaps there you can find better and more profitable models. But personally I will recommend TUF to you because the model is really good.
