in the washing machine. I have had to get the engineers in for mine, he's fixed it so that's good, but he said the heating element was full of limescale.
if there a product that you can put in the drawer where you put the powder.
Calgon perhaps, or is there anything else.

A tablespoon of soda crystals in the drawer every time you use it will help keep limescale at bay

There are quite a few of treatments on the market to keep your washer free of limescale.Calgon is one of them.
Well the best way is expensive but has many benefits and pays for itself in the long run. Install a water softener. Machines that use water last longer, laundry is softer and needs less detergent, baths and showers are lovely. They are very cheap to run and last for ages. My first one lasted for 25 years and only needed replacing because the technology had moved on and spares were no longer available.

Emmie, all the supermarkets sell it in the washing powder aisle, its in a green bag and is cheap. I never use comfort or the like now either, and I live in a very hard water area

I use soda crystals as well. I get mine from the odds and *** stall on the local market. A big drum for £1.00.

I expect they hope you'll use it every wash. I use it about 66 to 75% of the time.
