I said I wouldn't but I am missing growing things. I can't put a proper greenhouse in the garden but I think a small one on the patio would keep me happy.
It will need to go away in the winter so if anyone has used one of those small polythene? ones I'd appreciate any advice....make.... and are they okay.

Thanks Gx

I bought one in Wilkinsons a few years ago. Did the job. Grew things from seed etc. only cost about £15. Unfortunately we then acquired 2 rabbits and they bit through the bottom and used to sit on the bottom shelf. Still did the job though. You do need to weigh them down. We found a couple of breeze blocks on the bottom shelf worked.

Thanks Sycamore.....I just want to grow a few things from seed and I had thought of weighing it down....

I am in a windy spot...it would back on to a fence. Could I secure it to the fence do you think?
Grow some grass - you know you want to.
Yes you probably can fix it to a fence some how. I too live in a windy place. But now a few years on I think I have seen where you can buy just the plastic covering. But if you are handy with a sewing machine you can buy the plastic and stitch yourself. I think I repaired my doorway because the rabbits chewed that also.
The rabbits are no more. Thank goodness. They went to a friend at Christmas and haven't come 'home' yet.

The grass is going, Shoota....bit by bit it's going!

Thanks, Sycamore....if you had successful plants then it looks like the way to go for me......don't want loads now but I miss the planting and watching for them to grow.
I also found the greenhouse handy for plants that were bought (cheap most of the time) that were not quite ready to go outside in case of a frost. And as the season went on I used to open the door during the day and close again at night. The plants came on really well.

That may be what got me thinking, Sycamore.....in the garden centre today I saw trays of lovely little plants to bring on somewhere warm and sheltered.
I do miss growing plants....thought I had got that out of my system!
Homebase has a good sale tomorrow so I'll look there....Thanks...x
I had one of those, sadly when the plastic split we got rid of the whole thing, not knowing you can get replacement covers, but it was good while it lasted and grew no end of stuff.

Thanks, Cecil.....I've had a look on line....some of the coverings seem more substantial than others. The Gardman seems a good one to buy.
