A boiler breakdown resulted in no heat for two weeks during our recent cold spell, eventually the engineer arrived but as the system had been cut off for so long and the pump removed it was full of air,the engineer had other people waiting and had to go leaving us with half working heating, my husband patiently bled all radiators of air it now works ok. We then had message from the boiler people saying that their operator had said that we needed a system flush so they would not come to us any further until we had completed one at the cost of £300 which was unecessary. All was fine except each time the boiler fired up it did so with a bang, I then read the post from legalgirl on boilers, I told the boiler company it was left in a dangerous condition and I was calling Safe Gas, they are coming first thing in the morning:}

Oh thanks Minty, I was wondering what Legalgirl had to do with all this.

Hope you get things sorted..
What exactly are you thankful for? That you now have heat? Sorry if I seem a bit dim.
That legalgirl pointed out their legal requirement to leave the boiler in a safe condition ?
Oh thanks Minty, I was wondering what Legalgirl had to do with all this.
