...photos of your own property on t'interweb? I've had two calls from the agent already from people wanting to view it. I know this is going to be stressful, so, wish me luck?

Good luck Lardhelmet.

When I sold both my houses I moved out before they were sold so thankfully I didn't have to put up with people looking round while I was there. I was ever so sad after they had both gone.

Best tip I can give you is take no **** from the estate agents.
Wishing you the very best Lardy :-D
Good luck lardhelmet, it will get frustrating at times with a few up's and downs.
Good luck lardy................I sold my last house 6 years ago, but must admit I quite enjoyed showing people around. I only had one person who was less than complimentary about it.
Good luck lardy - it's been 14 years since I last bought and sold - hope it goes well.

It seems my daughter's the only who's upset I'm selling up. She doesn't even live in this country. Thank you for all your advice.

No it isn't....a house is just bricks and mortar and signifies the end of one chapter and the beginning of another.

Lol @ Bright Spark! No, I hate skiing!
An old aunt and uncle aged 80+ told me that they were going skiing and to my amusement they added.............were S.pending the K.ids I.nheritance
Lardy - if it is the family home I can understand that a bit.

About 5 years ago, my parents decided to sell the house they had owned for 40 years. I was gutted but it's their house so took the view it was up to them although I was really upset at the idea of someone else living there. (So many happy memories, and a beautiful property with LOTS of history). In the event, dad got so annoyed with the estate agents, he took it off the market in a fit of pique and has decided to stay until he is carried out in his box.

Oh bless him Barmaid. He sounds brilliant!
I sold my house last year. It took a year to sell but finally did at a vastly reduced price. I thought I had sold it three times but each time something happened to make the sale fall through. Finally on the fourth try it actually sold. I have been living in this bungalow for a month now, and I love it. For a few months I lived in rented accommodation while some work was done on this bungalow. I have to say that because of my experience with the previous house I offered a vastly reduced price for this one and they accepted it, much to my surprise. Hope this helps you lardy. I am sure you will enjoy it when you manage to sell.
One tip for you lardhelmet. Don't be bullied by the Estate Agents to accept an offer that's way below what you want. They just want the commission asap.

Thank you Starbuck. I'm hoping to buy a bungalow too. Found my dream bungalow a week ago but it's being sold by Modern Method of Sale (aka I probably can't afford it!)

Thank you chrissa - I wont.
You see it time and time again on TV about prospective buyers gawking round other peoples property with a view to purchasing sometime. Then it comes out they have to sell their own homes first. Beware of these as many are time wasters just getting delight from studying the market. We told our agent to allow only those prospective buyers who had already sold up.
