Over the break our Baxi boiler (not combi) has been repeatedly but intermittently having the same problem - you can hear the ignition click and firing up as if it keeps blowing out every second. It does it about 10 times and then it's fine for an hour or so. It's still working but I'm worried that this is a warning of something bad to come. Any ideas you handy men?

I would imagine the gas supply is struggling to get through. This could be something as simple as a faulty gas valve. Or it could be one of the safety features cutting in too soon due to a simple fault. Not necessarily going to be anything major Pruders, but I would book a service as soon as possible. It might stop working altogether.

Have you checked that the Pilot Light is working properly and it does not have a partial blockage ?
Oil or gas Pruders?

Sorry, gas. I assume the pilot light must be Ok or it wouldn't light at all???

Thanks the Builder, a service is in order then. It's not like we can fiddle with our boilers!
