would i lose housing benefit if i cancelled a tenency agreement, the rent has been paid 6 mths in advance. my mother has taken seriously ill and i am going to have to move back in to take care of her

If you are moving back in with your mother- why do you need the benefit?

because im on a low income part of my rent is being paid by hb, the landlord wanted 6 mths rent in advance cos i couldnt get a guarantor.

Sorry ot hear about your mum, but agree with Helen, if you're no longer living in the rented property, you won't need the housing benefit will you?
