I've had my home rewired with new extra sockets. My problem is the gaps in the walls where the old sockets were. Anyone know how I can fill them or do I pay a plasterer? TIA.

Metal back-boxes are usually 25mm deep. Fill out with a 20mm thick piece of board or timber, then finish with good old Polyfilla. (Stick the board with a dab of polyfilla too.)

Thanks TB! I've got polyfiller and some board in the shed. I'll give them a go.
