The ones I have in the garden at the moment are all last years and they are all still in flower at the moment. I don't know what variety they are but I shall leave them in again and wait and see if they survive another winter.

It will depend upon the variety. The RHS website says that some are annuals and some are perennials.

So let's hope that you've got perennials!
If they are still flowering then don't cut them back. In my experience, even the perennial ones are a bit tender and best relied on as annuals then if they do overwinter, its a bonus.

Gazanias are sun and dry loving tender perennials which, might survive a mild winter if left in situ.

Best thing is to left them and pot them into a sandy, free draining compost and leave them on a bright window sill which is frost free. Give them just enough water to keep them alive.
Why not save some of this years seed If an annual variety they will flower next year after sowing in spring
