No water coming out of the hot tap in my kitchen

Does anybody know why I wouldn't get any water (hot or cold) coming out of my hot kitchen tap.

The hot water is coming out of my bathroom sink, bath and shower ok and I only have one hot water tank.

When I tap the pipes beneath the kitchen sink I can tell that the cold pipe has water in it but the hot pipe is empty.

This doesn't make any sense to me, hopefully someone out there can help.

I would worry about overflowing as the mains can fill the tank much faster than the overflow can empty it, I've done it!!!

You haven't got a leak anywhere?
Is there a valve to the hot tap under the sink?

If so it could be shut.

If it's a 'ball-o-fix' there will be a slot for a screwdriver, if this slot is in line with the pipe it is open, if not it is closed and you need a screwdriver to align with pipe.
does the washer need replaceing???
It may be air locked. Put a hose from your cold to the hot for a minute but be careful not to overflow your header tank!!
sounds like a air lock have you drained the system lately do as Johnk but dont worry about over filling the tank as it will relieve itself via the over flow pipe HTH Tez
We had the exact same problem recently with the hot tap in our kitchen enfable.
It was fixed by replacing the washer on the tap.
