My family tree is a difficult one
help with this one. Cecilia Sutherland B1939 in hull
I would like to find her mother Mabel Wilson and Her mother? Any Help Thanks

I cannot find a marriage between a Sutherland and a mabel wilson that looks right, there is a madge wilson marrying john sutherland in 1935 in the dewsbury RD though.

Perhaps she was known by one, but christened another, this is quite common. I had an auntie Nellie who hated her name so much everyone knew her as auntie Cis.

i guess that's a possibility carole, there's a madge wilson born in hull in 1916, but the marriage in dewsbury might mean she was born more west yorkshire. if that is even the right marriage.

I'm confused, cecelia was born in 1939, you say her mother is mabel wilson, do you mean that cecelia was brought up as her mother's sister because her mother mabel was young/unmarried?

No Mabel should of married from wilson to sutherland then had cecillia sutherland.

Once you were looking for were there might of lived in Pickering the address was 76 East gate or lodging house according to the school register. And grace was not on the election roll. but she had her children in and out of school like yo yos. Reason for leaving school left the district went to loftus date rejoined school.sometime joining for 1 day /2 week/ 1 month
to go to Thirsk/Driffield/Loftus/left the district/left the town-over 30 entries of this behavuir

ahhh yes i remember finding that school register now. i'm still looking for grace and mabek on the 1911 but i really don't think they were enumerated
