All the best cookery books tell us to cook with vegetables that are in season.

What does in season mean

With supermarkets buying from all over the world to bring us strawberries in January, satsumas in April and kiwi fruits�whenever we want them, how are are we to know what is in season By 'in season' we usually mean in season in this country. So, we know the growing hasn't been too forced, the goods haven't been shipped thousands of miles and the taste is going to be wonderful.
