Malteser Fridge Cake

Serves 6-8

Malteser fridge cake is very easy to make and tastes great; it will definitley become a favourite if you are a chocoholic.

This cake is an ideal recipe to get kids cooking, there is no baking involved and the measurements don’t have to be exact, there is no careful precision to making this dish at all, you just kind of chuck everything in together and you end up with chocolate heaven, it couldn’t be more simple.

Ingredients

  • 100g butter
  • 150g milk chocolate 
  • 3 tbsp golden syrup
  • 225g Maltesers
  • 150g digestive  biscuits 

Method

  1. Line a shallow square cake tin with cling film.
  2. Crush the biscuits into crumbs.
  3. Melt the butter golden syrup and chocolate in a large heat proof bowl over a sauce pan of simmering water. Once everything is melted stir in the crushed digestive biscuits then stir in the Maltesers.
  4. Pour into the cake tin and allow to set in the fridge.
