I have been given a Halogen Oven as a gift, can anyone suggest a good recipe book for use with the oven?

Thanks in advance

There really aren't that many about yet, for some reason the ones that are available are little more than a handbook , not sure why.

There was a basic one that came with the oven but was hoping for a little more info than that gave. Think I will have to take myself into the local town Dot after the holidays and browse

Dont k now about the others Magdelene, haven't used it yet but any suggestions would be gratefully received - to be perfectly honest I am a little bit afraid of it, abit of a numpty with anything new and technical ;)

Does your sister get on with her's OK?
she seems to think it's the best thing since sliced bread at the moment.....having said that she was the same when she got a breadmaker :-)
That's the one I was meaning craft, it's only a little slim thing, but I suppose there isnlt that much about yet as it is quite a new thing.

Ah I see. Have decided to cook the chicken for tomorrows dinner in it, might go mad and do the roasties and veg as well. If you read about a mad woman throwing an oven through her kitchen window that will be me....wish me luck and thanks for all your advice - Night Night
good luck barb......
I have had a halogen oven for over a year now and i love it, just use your normal recipies but reduce temp by about 20 degrees and reduce cooking time by about 30% and you wont go far wrong, you can do anything you would do i a normal oven or grill in it. I bought the jml cook book and to be honest it was total waste of money, all it really did was apply the rules above . Best tip i was given was put a plate in the bottom to catch the drips, it save on cleaning lol. Good luck,i hope your as happy with yours as i am with mine x

Thank you lorri Over the weekend I cooked a piece of gammon, a chicken and roast potatoes. All turned out very well. Thanks for the trip about the plate, did find that part very awkward. Have sausages today so wish me luck with those. Only thing I am having problems with is I have only ever cooked with a gas oven so I am having to convert everything but I will persevere.

Thanks everyone for all you help
