I sometimes wonder if Im having too little salt intake. I know you can have too much and too little but what is too litlle ? I never salt any food, dont buy prepacked foods. I know there is a lot in food that we dont know about but thinking about it I dont eat a lot of the foods that we know contain salt, i.e bread, baked beans or tinned soup. Ive googled the symptoms for low salt intake and some days these do seem to apply to me. I just HATE the taste of salt on anything

Get it checked out by your doctor but my thoughts turn to a deficiency of iron as a possible cause, rather than a lack of sodium. See here http://www.livestrong.com/article/375036-what-is-missing-in-vegetarian-diets/ and here http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Anaemia-iron-deficiency-/Pages/Symptoms.aspx

I doubt very much that you are "salt deficient." If you are so worried, then see your GP who can arrange a blood test.
To be pedantic, it's not salt that you need, it's the sodium within the salt. Given that foods such as cheese and even tomatoes contain plenty of sodium, it's hard to see how your diet could be deficient in it.

thanks both. being a veggie, I do eat a lot of fresh fish, veg and salad stuff, but I thought salad stuff contained mainly water. I like cheese but try not to eat too much. I do sometimes get headaches and feel very tired, but then I do work hard !
