Is it ok to heat soup straight from the freezer?

I made home made soup a few days ago and put some in the freezer. Do I have to defrost it before I heat it up or is it ok just to put it straight into microwave to heat up?

Thats fine miz, but put in on defrost for a few minutes first.

OR.... If you don't have a defrost setting, heat on full power for a minute at a time, stirring after each minute until it is liquid, then give it a blast to serving temperature.
