Every so often my niece starts screaming uncontrollably. Usually saying her private parts hurt. It's not all the time . She can be funny and upbeat but if she's told off or if something isn't going right all of a sudden its "my mini I hurts " and the mother of all melt downs for up to two hours at a time. To the point we had to leave the cinema today because the seat was wonky and she started screaming. I'm not sure what to do. She has a doctors appointment tomorrow.

Possibilities. Urine infection, not wiping front to back, using bubble bath. Self experimenting, allergy to washing powder. Not cleaning properly in bath or shower. All possible causes of pain. Any problems at school? Could be reaction to being told off. However inappropriate behaviour towards her by an adult or child needs to be investigated

Your doctor should be able to give advice about the best course of action.
I don't think you can gain anything by guessing what might be the matter with the child.
Some professional help is definitely needed.
Good luck. I hope for both your sakes that help is available.
What do her parents think? I'm going to say what I think, which is abuse cannot be ruled out. I hope this does not cause offence and sincerely hope this is not the case.
