Hi, I would like to gift my parents DNA testing with ancestry and a 6 month membership. My dad is not computer savvy, so it would only really be my mum using the site. Do I need separate memberships for both, or can she add his DNA results to her membership? I couldn't find any of this out on their site. Thanks

You can buy the DNA test for your dad for £79 and DNA + 3 month membership for your mother for £80. If she wishes to continue membership then she has the options of 1 month for £11 or 6 months for £55.

I'd be wary of putting my DNA info into what is basically the public domain. How long before it's sold to insurance companies and other commercial interests ?

Thanks, Barry1010. Will she be able to research my dad's side through her membership? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I have no idea.

Old_Geezer, I used to be wary but then realized that both me and the oul pair will be dead soon enough, and I have no kids to ***, either. They can do their worst!
Yes, she can research anyone, no restrictions
