My husband and I recently visited a financial advisor and agreed to invest quite a large sum of money After leaving the office we decided it was not suitable for us. We have contacted them to cancel but as it is Bank holiday week end makes it difficult. We are worried that we may not be able to cancel It was with Axa

The periods given on the site referred to ^ are minimums, some investment companies will allow more. The exact period must be in the Key Facts document given to you by your adviser and he /she must point the appropriate paragraph out to you so that you are completely informed. If you did not get a Key Facts document or your adviser did not discuss the cancellation...

The exact period must be in the Key Facts document given to you by your adviser and he /she must point the appropriate paragraph out to you so that you are completely informed. If you did not get a Key Facts document or your adviser did not discuss the cancellation period, then it was a non-compliant sale and you can not be held to it.
