it sounds like flu. Flu is pretty bad.
That's what I thought.
i would have said flu, having had it several times, i can vouch you can feel really crap - headaches, every muscle hurts, and you don't get out the pit, in my case for a full two weeks.
Bronchitis?
Sorry, ignore me, not at my brightest

Pleurisy is what I was trying to think of. Thanks, all
? Tracheitis
Thank you
Pleurisy isn't a complain on its own, its usually caused by a bacterial or viral infection, ie chest infection or flu

sounds exactly like what I've had for almost a week - had a sore throat of epic proportions, was shivery, coughing etc - hardly able to eat for three days - just had lemsips etc and water - had aches where I didn't know I could ache, was tired with a headache to end all headaches -despite lots of the usual pills and potions for the aches and pains (especially the headache which I just couldn't shift) the penny finally dropped that I hadn't had any caffeine for over three days - checked out caffeine withdrawal symptoms on line and found one of them (for some people) was mega, mega headaches -had a cup of tea and within five minutes the headache disappeared. Just proves was a powerful thing caffeine is.

Good grief. Time for you to wean yourself off caffeine!
flu and chest infection ?
to be honest hc4361 I didn't think I had as much caffeine as most people - only ever have two cups of coffee a day but suppose do take a fair bit of tea - well, there ya go, we live and learn
Sounds like flu. When most people say they've got flu they've actually only got a bad cold. If you've got pleurisy your chest is excrutiatingly painful.
