don't get one too big that will cost too much in deisel and check insurance groups for business use if you are going to keep tools/stock/equipment in it. don't buy a white one or a kia

There are three im going to view tomorrow - all ford transit connect type sizes so not too big. Why not white?... Because of the dreaded "white van man/lady " label or am I being naive and there's a more in depth reason behind this?
Hpi check
Make sure you can remove any old logos. Nothing looks more shabby than a van that you can still read the previous business on.
LOL that you questioned the 'white' but not the kia!
Oooh I'm a white van ladeeeee! Can't beat a good old tranny.
White vans tend to be a little more expensive.

have Kia ever sold vans in the UK?

If the engine is warm, don't buy. Start engine from cold, let run until warm, listen for knocking noises, take van for a good run not just around the block
and kick the tyres ....

lol - iv been told too stay away from kias already thats why ;)
Thats brill thanks every one - Iv been told to check the colour of the water in the radiator before the vans been warmed up - a greenish tinge from anti freeze should be ok but anything else should be a concern. Is that right?

at the risk of sounding really stupid ..... I kick the tyres - then what? what am I looking for? just too see if they are flat? i know to check the tread depth is at least 1.6mm
They're ok if they are only flat at the bottom
If you can, take a mechanic with you or buy from a main agent.
