Whats your favourite nail colour at the moment? I'd quite like a change, I've been using Barry M's dark red coloured one a lot lately and I feel like something more summery!

xoxo.

All my pastels are Barry M nail paints :)

The dots are easy... just get a hair pin (bobby pin, kirby grip, whatever lol), straighten it out and there you have your dotting tool :)

Aww thanks Nun :) I just take pictures to send to my cousin! lol! I'll do them tomorrow night and i'll take a photo :)
no7 ice coconut...i use it for my tips instead of white. i get loads of compliments on it! their speed dry stuff is great.
I like the polka dot and crackle nails erin....xx
Thanks Chi-chi! xx
^^is that practise or does it come out like that,,,,the crackle
It should come out like that but it does take a wee bit practice.. the first time I tried it I applied it too thick and it just went into one big blob!! lol! You need to find the right thickness to paint on for you :)

Oh i've only ever used the Barry M crackles... I think other brands have different consistencies.

wow erin!! How do you do those dots, did you get one of those pens? Where is it from?? Really lovely! Love having nice nails!

I've used the crackle, erin's right about the thickness of the paint!

Pastel hues also sound great, I've never tried any of them!
thanks erin and swan....will look out for the crackle, not seen it on before, quite a new thing for me!!! xx

I did the polka dots with a matte effect top coat as well.. It makes it just a wee bit more interesting :)

Think I'll go out and get some pastels - do you do that one finger on each hand a different colour to the others thing too anyone out of interest? I've seen it on a few people and thought it was quite interesting, normally their ring finger is painted a different colour.

Would never have thought to use a bobby pin! Isit just with practise that you can do your right hand though? I always find doing my right hand difficult!

Think I may have to steal your black on brown dots idea, love it!
thanks for all that erin, xx
I've done it a few times but it catches my eye too much... the odd colour thing :)

The brown I used was a Rimmel polish... Beige babe I think it's called.

It's my left hand I stuggle with (being left handed lol!) I just persevere! :) If it's really not working i'll get my mum to do it! haha!

Aw erin thank you so much for posting and giving us all some tips and inspiration! I will definitely be trying the dots out :-)

And thanks again to everyone for their posts and ideas. Very helpful!
Happy to help! I don't get to chat about this kind of thing any more since leaving the shop! haha xx
I have just bought some Avon black crackle glaze to try - looked at the link erin sent and the blue crackle (like crazy paving!) and white looked very effective. Not tried mine yet - do you leave the base colour until its dry erin or put the top colour on while the base is slightly tacky? There are no instructions on the box!
You're better waiting until it's completely dry but I usually leave it about half an hour in between coats. I'm very impatient lol!
Do you put the polish which has the crackle effect on top of the ordinary nail polish? I have black crackle which I want to put over bright pink ordinary ....... thanks Erin x
