The man upstairs works in very strange ways Ric.ror, the child must have been one of his favorite's, it's very hard for the Mother who has carried the child for the duration only to hear the sad news, I don't know you but I feel for you as many of us on here do, condolences to the parents.

It's the sense that we will never know this child
We did not even know if the baby was a girl or a boy - yet I can't help feeling there will always be a little piece of the family missing
I even bought some new sleep suits for the baby on Thursday because they (the parents) had given them all away

Do they have other children? Not that makes a difference to the pain they'll be feeling, or you, but it can help keep a routine.

Yes they have two others
I think the thought of telling the oldest (4) is another worry too
My heart really goes out to you ummm and all women in your position. I used to be of the opinion 'oh you'll get over it' but when I had my babies (30 years ago) I soon realised it was probably something a mother will never get over
