I'm still here...!

Apologies for my recent absence, it has been a very busy week at AB HQ!

The wheels have started turning and the Answerbank update is underway, with our tech guys currently profiling the website, finding out what's wrong with it then working out ways to rectify the issues.

This means that for the time being Answerbank will be put on a temporary "life-support system" that keeps it ticking over, allowing it to perform basic functions (so expect some slow down, not being able to use search or subscription etc). This is one of the reasons we can't add a normal Sports catagory to the Answerbank right now, as it could entirely break the website with extra traffic

The search function appears pretty dead in the water at the moment, so if you want to search something on Answerbank I suggest you use ChuckFickens method which can be found here:

... and for those who can't be bothered to click the link: enter "site: theanswerbank.co.uk + [your search term]" into google search.

Please use this way of searching until we sort out our data issues.

In other news, we've finally come to a decision as to who the winner of post of the week is.

After countless hours of expert judging and long sleepless nights (and many nominations) we came to the conclusion that the winner of these vouchers should be someone helpful, someone who is always around to give answers and lend a helping hand.

I'd like you to join me in congratulating Ethel for her hard work and devotion to helping people on Answerbank.
