So police have pulled a suitcase containing a body out of a river and they're treating it as suspicious, really!! Are there any circumstances when this wouldn't be suspicious!?!?

Not really.
But what do you feel they ought to have said?
I heard this on the news and had a wee chuckle about the way it was reported.
Probably ought to have stopped after the word "river".

Still, they could have said that they have pulled a suitcase containing a body out of a river and they were looking into it.
Clearly not an open and shut case
^^^...;-)
This case is suitable to be investigated by the River police
Well I know I watched an episode of a fabulous crime drama but I've forgotten which one, where a man actually committed suicide by doing this. The dead man had been in showbusiness actually, not sure which show it was,
dot, are you thinking of the real death of Gareth Williams, the MI6 spook?
Truth is sometimes as strange as fiction. Anyone remember the MI5 man who is said to have locked himself in a bag and couldn't get out?
no I don't think so, unless it was made into a drama, I don't watch anything on the news or in a documentary. I don't watch much that isn't on US netwroks either really, channel 4 or 5. So no, I'm sure it was a tv drama.
Snap, sandy :D
