I have been told that a cup of Cocoa or Ovaltine just before retiring
for the night helps one sleep.
Other people swear by a glass of milk.
Any preferences & why?

Tried the Nytol and they gave me nightmares.

Am on Sominex but they don't work but I try to overcome it by saying it is psychological and they do work. Thanks for your input Mrs O
btw if someone had a gun they would shoot me and put me out of my misery LOL
Yes the Cherry Juice does work.
jennyjoan, if it is so bad (and believe me if it is, I have been there), then go back to your GP and demand some. Have they said why they won't prescribe them?
they have said their hierarchy have told them to get people off them - but I tell you it is something to do with their budget.

I am going to make an appointment and argue my case.
Show them your bits while you're there, JJ (just been reading your other thread) - you've just said on here that there are lady doctors know.

I couldn't drink anything milky before bed, I wake up with a stuffy head if I do - if I drink anything at bedtime, I'm up an hour later needing to wee.
