....discovering that the awful noise coming from the car engine as you belt along the bypass can be cured by turning off the cd player.
I love driving along to Rod Stewart but you should hear him when the cd goes doolally and then jams....thank god for tweezers.....

Aren't our lay-bys and road sides filthy...I recall seeing footage of third world countries where they had no option but to discard rubbish to the four winds. We have great options for disposing of everything...but we seem to want to just create wade through litter.....

The Irish have a beautifully clean countryside....pity we can't.... :-(

I thoroughly agree on the litter, gness. Surrey, Sussex, Cambs, Norfolk, Oxfordshire, down here, Cumbria, all counties I have been in fairly recently and all recently. I don't know why they don't take gangs off the Job Centres and put them to cleaning the countryside up, paying them, say an extra £100 for a half week.....giving them some work, albeit menial, some team experience and all the rest, the benefit being the environment and tourism. In fact, I have been in touch with my mp over this one......

Oh, Ael.....that was just fantastic....to get that tree into that space....
In fact I've just been talking to my neighbour...they are having a tree felled so I asked if I could have it for my garden....

Perhaps I'll go back and ask if I can fell it for them.....such fun....and I can shout ........TIMBER!!!!!!!
