Any one watch this period drama/mystery based on fact. I thought it was very promising and I think Martin Clunes portrayal of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was brilliant in so much that he never lost his Scottish soft accent. Not too long a series also and I look forward to the other two.
I also enjoyed it, found the book in charity shop Arthur and George by Julian Barnes, was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize 2005. All the critics give a good review of the book, is it a true story or just partially? I am just at the childhood stage of the two men.
Thank you hc4361 love anything Sherlock Holmes so to have something about ACD is great, just wish it was on BBC those damn adverts every 10 mins grrrr.
I wish he was still alive and a member of AB. He would make some great contributions to this site especially the News section. A man who can think outside the box as the modern saying goes.
In the sport section also, any man who bowled out W G Grace has my respect lol. Good night retrocop look fwd to reading your link tomorrow, thanks again. MM
