I didn't do anything on Christmas day per se however I did volunteer at a soup kitchen with my mother over the Christmas and New Year period - extremely rewarding and I got to use my skills as a Body Guard :) We had someone kicking off, throwing his weight around. It was also kind of cool to see armed police attend (I'm assuming because they were the only ones near by)...

DTCwordfan, ha!) That's a good point!
What did I do for Christmas? Beef and turkey with all the twiddly bits, followed by Christmas pudding and Nigella's cappuccino pavlova, which was lush, as the grandchildren said.
Tried to repair the multi-lock on the kitchen door as it broke Christmas morning. Totally unsuccessfully I would add, therefore as all the Christmas food was in the garage 'fridge, had to exit the house via the patio door and traipse back and forth with the grub! Took 3 days before I could get a locksmith. Also discovered multi-locks on PVC doors only have a maximum life of 10 years!! Ours was nine and a half!

beegeebee, Ha ha! You definitely didn't waist your time!
Nothing, it was delightful :-
Christmas dinner for 7, then daughter and grandkids came round to open more presents, rest of our kids and partners turned up, ended up with 17 of them, had a fab day with family, eating, chatting, drinking and playing games. And to top it all grand child number 5 decided to be born on Boxing Day.
So I had a great Christmas, how about you Jane?

fairycakes69, I can't boast with anything like your grand child number 5 appearance.) Your Christmas sounds really fab. I just spent the night with my family, eating, drinking cranberry juice (only me, the others drank champagne), watching some classical music on TV and enjoying the winter and the holiday.
There's only 1 year 342 days, 2 hours 18 minutes to Christmas Day in 2016, you know.....
