Feel Rotten..

I have very thin skin due to steroids, Warfarin and, I guess, age. Last Sunday Coco (dog) scratched my arm and took off two good sized chunks of skin, I bandaged it up (can't use plasters coz they pull my skin off!) and have just been keeping an eye on it, didn't seem worth bothering the doc. The actual wounds seem a bit better but the surrounding skin is red and swollen. Now my question... could this be causing me to feel so rotten tonight? I suffer with arthritis and I'm in agony. Sorry to be a moaner!

I am just a bit confused....."feeling rotten"

Are your joints causing the feeling OR are your joints fine, but you are feeling "rotten" generally?

Are you still taking steroids and warfarin?

Sqad - steroids and Warfarin are both for life. Joints very painful also I feel 'fluey', anyway... I'm just back from the doctors, been given anti-bio's. Doctor said my arm is infected, my body is fighting that infection which is causing me to feel rotten.
I hope the antibiotics work soon masma, take it easy for a few days. take care , anne.

Anneasquith - been having a rough time lately with 'the lad', he's been house/dog sitting for a friend which seems to have given him free reign to indulge. I went to the doctors with him last week (his suggestion) he also has an appointment with his councillor, at least he knows he's on a rocky road and wants to do something about it.
Thanks for asking, hope you and yours are well xx
infected, go and see a doctor for antibiotics, you feel rotten because of that. Hope you feel better soon hun x

Thank you all xx
I took quite a chunk out of my arm, just below my elbow, when I banged it on the sharp piece of a door frame. Like you, it was red & swollen. Now,3 weeks on, it is ok but left a nasty scar. I saw my nurse practitioner a couple of times & he took a swab to make sure of no infection...luckily it was clear. I do hope it eases for you very soon & can sympathise x
